About
Though his training style has evolved over the years, one thing has remained constant - Rob’s personal mission to teach people how to own their movement so that they can move better, perform better and feel better in their everyday life.
Rob has been helping people get their mobility back for close to two decades, obtaining his first certification from AFAA in 1998.
Since his first AFAA certification, Rob has achieved a number of other accreditations, now holding NASM: CPT and PES certifications, as well as a TPI, FMS and TFW Levels 1 and 2 certifications.
Amidst his years of training, Rob has been relentless in his pursuit of knowledge. Not only in fitness and movement, but also sport. That drive has taken him from club soccer to semi-pro football and to Utah, where Rob trained at the Olympic level in both long track speed skating and 4-man bobsled. His team later competed in the US team trials, where they earned a spot in the top 5 in the country.
In the 18 plus years that Rob has been coaching he has had the pleasure of working with clients at all fitness levels, ranging from 9-year old soccer players to 80-year old bi-lateral knee replacement patients and wheelchair-bound spina bifida Paralympic hopefuls. He has also helped the US Naval Special Warfare outfit train their teams.
Rob continues to volunteer his services to the US Military, regularly training personnel members at the OC Performance Coaches gym, working with the USNSW in Coronado and the Joint Military base in Los Alamitos.
He also volunteers with the OCFA (Orange County Fire Authority) and local elementary and middle schools.
No matter the client, Rob always uses his passion and knowledge of the body to help people achieve their goals and increase their quality of life.
Whether talking with fellow coaches, therapists or doctors, lecturing college students or exploring new certifications, Rob is always striving to expand his knowledge so that he (and the rest of the OC Performance Coaches team) can find the quickest, most scientific and safest methods possible to get his clients results.
